From Bauhaus to street art
The third edition of ART Salzburg Contemporary from September 27 to 29, 2019 in Salzburg with its specials spans a fascinating arc from the fixed stars of modernism such as Bauhaus and Picasso up to the present day.
Here, the exhibition relies on the expertise and excellent network of long-standing partners such as Galerie Dikmayer from Berlin-Mitte, which will develop its own special presentation for Salzburg on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus school and in close cooperation with the Henry van de Velde Museum. In addition to selected originals by the famous Bauhaus master and artist Georg Muche, pieces of furniture by Marcel Breuer, Mies van der Rohe and Erich Dieckmann, metalwork by Marianne Brandt and Wilhelm Wagenfeld and ceramics by Theodor Bogler will also be on display.
The second special at this year's ART Salzburg Contemporary is also top-class.
which will be dedicated to the grand master of modernism, Pablo Picasso, as a special show. The Swiss gallery W|O|S will bring original drawings, proofs, unique prints and ceramics by Picasso to Salzburg.
With the lively street artist Kiddy Citny
who now whimsically describes himself as the dinosaur of this scene and has just restored the listed Berlin Wall graffiti with his artist colleague Thierry Noir, ART Salzburg Contemporary is also bringing a proven performing artist to Salzburg, who will be dreaming of a better, more cheerful world in a three-day painting campaign. The title of his action: "Into the Future", presented by Queeenberg Gallery Salzburg
