Towards the sun
The Sonnenberg Restaurant
New restaurant chapter opened
What the restaurant scene has been calling for for many years is now finally becoming a reality: in future, the Sonnenberg Restaurant will focus on a culinary offering that appeals to a wider audience. Host and managing director Armin Waldvogel and head chef Kay Schultz are responsible for the new direction of the traditional establishment. Kay Schultz, formerly Executive Chef at the Widder Hotel, created the new, convincing culinary concept for the Sonnenberg Restaurant. He is supported by Armin Waldvogel, former Managing Director of the parkhuus Restaurant at the Park Hyatt Hotel Zurich. He has been working as host at the Sonnenberg since April and has now also been promoted to Managing Director. The repositioning is intended to bring the traditional restaurant closer to a broader target group. In future, connoisseurs of both simple and sophisticated cuisine will be able to get their money's worth. And the two gastronomic personalities are fulfilling this mission to the full with their new conceptual approach.
Culinary delights with a Mediterranean twist
In addition to the well-known specialties, the Sonnenberg crew is increasingly cooking for a younger audience and families with an attractively priced and uncomplicated menu offering. Without compromising on the quality of the products. Incidentally, the Sonnenberg Restaurant's treasure trove is located in the cellar, where Swiss rarities are displayed alongside international favorites. The savvy and charming host Armin Waldvogel is only too happy to recommend the right accompaniment for his guests against the unspoilt dream backdrop of Lake Zurich.
