To give you an overview of the busy event calendar, we have compiled the most exciting happenings for you:
The Aspen Academy's annual Aspen Ideas Festival takes place at the end of June. Well-known thought leaders will discuss the world of tomorrow in numerous events. From June 18 - 23, the written word will be celebrated at the Aspen Summer Words. Then, at the Aspen Music Festival and School from June 29 to August 20, numerous guest artists will provide a feast for the eyes and ears. At the Labor Day Festival from September 1-3, Keith Urban and the band Maroon 5, among others, will make guest appearances in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Aspen's stages are also a popular attraction for dance and ballet fans. For example, renowned ballet companies and dance academies from all over the world are expected at the Aspen Dance Festival in July and August.
Not only performing arts, but also visual arts are part of the summer cultural offensive. In the Aspen Art Museum, newly designed in 2014, fans of contemporary art are spoiled with works of art on 1,625 square meters.
