Scandinavian home design for everyone
Søstrene Grene opens its first store in St. Gallen
Small everyday pleasures - as well as a wide selection of unique Scandinavian design. This is what the Søstrene Grene brand wants to bring to its customers throughout Europe. Now it's the turn of Eastern Switzerland, where the company has opened its first store. At Multergasse 22, the Grene sisters have also found a prime location for their new home in St. Gallen. Søstrene Grene - which translates as "the Grene sisters" - specializes in home accessories, small furniture, kitchen supplies, handicraft and DIY items and much more. The selection of products is constantly changing and new products are added weekly, so you will find something new every time you visit.
The brand has grown rapidly in Europe and Japan in recent years.
Since entering the Swiss market a year ago, the store in St. Gallen is now number four. Sandra Freund, the franchise partner for Switzerland, is looking forward to the fourth Swiss Søstrene Grene store. After her first visit to a Søstrene Grene store in Germany, she was certain: "I have to bring this concept to Switzerland. The Nordic design, the aesthetics of the products and this very special atmosphere in the stores fit perfectly in Switzerland." And she was proved right, the success story continues. "We want to open many more Søstrene Grene stores in Switzerland over the next few years. But for now, I'm looking forward to the first location in Eastern Switzerland."
CEO Mikkel Grene is also looking forward to welcoming St. Gallen to the Søstrene Grene family.
"The last few years have been quite an adventure for us at Søstrene Grene. We have been able to open many new stores in exciting locations and we see each new store as another opportunity to create wonderful shopping experiences. Switzerland is a very interesting new market for us and I am sure that the store in St. Gallen will be a great addition," says Mikkel Grene. Søstrene Grene currently has 220 stores in 16 different countries. The Grene sisters have worked hard in recent years to refine their concept and design aesthetics. They have a strong team of Scandinavian designers working from their headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. This enables Søstrene Grene to offer more and more products that are unique and designed in their own design department. "Our design aesthetic is an expression of our Danish roots with its simple lines and subtle colors. And yet always with a feminine and soft touch. It is a design that fits into many households. We also believe that unique design does not necessarily mean high prices. The combination of design and great prices seems to go down well with customers in all our markets," says Mikkel Grene.
