Qatar invites you to the table
For ten days, Qatar becomes a culinary Mecca.
From March 29 to April 8, 2017, everything in Qatar will revolve around food. The Qatar International Food Festival in Doha celebrates the country's sophisticated and traditional cuisine. New this year is the interactive "Chef's Table", where numerous international chefs invite guests to the table in selected 5-star hotels and serve their best creations. They all combine tradition and innovation in an imaginative way, demonstrating the versatility and development of local cuisine. The participating hotels are now accepting reservations. In the "Qatar Cooking Theater", gourmets can watch daily cooking demonstrations in the open air and indulge themselves at around 100 different food stalls. The supporting program also includes musical performances, such as traditional sounds of the Arabic side instrument oud. There will be further events for families as well as a large children's play area. Some foreign embassies, including the German embassy, will also be present during the festival and will be serving traditional dishes from their country.
A food truck, small street stalls and restaurants serving their best dishes round off the culinary offerings. If you want to go higher, you should secure a ticket for the "Dinner in the sky". The concept, already familiar from previous years, attracts guests to a three-course meal at a height of 40 meters.
Admission to the festival is free.
