New gourmet hotspot in Hamburg

Design restaurant Nikkei Nine

Hamburg's restaurant scene has been enriched by an attractive culinary hotspot. At the end of November 2016, the design restaurant Nikkei Nine opened in the renowned Hotel Vierjahreszeiten with an innovative kitchen concept. That sounds promising and raises expectations, which are fulfilled with flying colors. It starts with the stylish and elegant ambience, which conveys a cosmopolitan flair with unusual design elements. The showpiece is the open "theater kitchen", where the chefs work at the Robata Grill, the traditional Japanese charcoal grill. Here, surprising combinations with intense flavors are created in a fusion of Japanese Nikkei cuisine with influences from Peru and Brazil. Asian Executive Chef Ben Dayag and sushi master Yuki Hamasaki from Osaka form the leading kitchen team. Afterwards, the adjoining double-sided bar ("double loaded") is the perfect place to round off the evening with subtle DJ music.
