The romantic, paradisiacal garden is an ideal place to relax for guests of Chalets Bucher / "Das Bucher". Secluded seating areas and lovingly tended zones with lush greenery and fragrant flowers offer space and intimacy. The view sweeps over the mountains of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. As there is no outdoor pool in the village, the Bucher couple have now fulfilled a long-cherished dream: since the end of June 2020, this picturesque feel-good place has been offering crystal-clear cooling for hot summer days.


Karl Sailer
has modeled the 100 m² natural bathing lake on a real bathing pond. The organic shape blends perfectly into the garden oasis. Two thirds of the area is available for swimming. One third is reserved for the regeneration zone. This is because cleaning here is not carried out by plants, but on a biological-bacteriological level via a microfilm that builds up in different mineral layers. The advantage: bacteria break down the nutrients much faster than plants. As a result, algae formation does not occur even under high loads. Thanks to the "KS Purity Law", only water, stones and aquatic plants are visible, if desired. To achieve this, the liner is covered with natural stones in special concrete. This ensures a natural look and makes maintenance easier. The cleaning process is technically and mechanically supported, with most of the impurities being automatically extracted, which greatly reduces the amount of maintenance required. State-of-the-art, energy-saving pond technology ensures consistent water quality. The water is pleasant on the skin, chemical-free and so clean that you could even drink it.


At the end of April
construction work began and the water was let in at the end of May. "Everything was done carefully, quickly and cleanly, we didn't have to worry about our garden," emphasize the clients. The traditional construction method with spherical stone walls was chosen to match the romantic ambience. A large wooden terrace invites you to sunbathe. In the evening, subtle lighting creates a vacation atmosphere by the water. The natural swimming lake is centrally located, visible from all chalets and directly accessible via the garden. Unfortunately, the weather has been too cold for swimming so far. Walter Bucher is now considering whether the natural pool should freeze over in winter or remain open for cooling off after the sauna.
