One of the most translated books in the world, with editions in over 250 languages and dialects, the eponymous story of a chance encounter between an aviator and the Little Prince from a distant planet explores universal themes of imagination, spiritual openness and the value of human relationships. Through design elements inspired by Saint-Exupéry's delicate hand drawings, the masterpiece Le Petit Prince expresses the book's simple message: sharing one's dreams and values gives life its true meaning. The first Meisterstück Le Petit Prince edition, launched in April 2018, features the inspiring and subtle characters of the little prince and the fox, who teaches him about the importance of close human bonds and relationships and reveals the wisdom he draws from his personal life experiences. The other editions highlight other characters from The Little Prince and their messages, including the Aviator and the Planet.


The story of The Little Prince
beautifully demonstrates the power of the art of writing. The words and drawings of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry touch people all over the world and across generations. For the first time in Montblanc's history, the body and cap of the Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Special Edition are made of midnight blue precious resin, reminiscent of the deep blue sky of the universe that surrounds the Little Prince. The milled cap is adorned with a pattern of the fox's face. It refers to the figure that explains interpersonal relationships to the little boy. The cap is rounded off with platinum-plated fittings that contrast with the deep blue of the writing instrument. Before traveling back to his star, the little prince tells the pilot that he only has to look at the stars and remember to hear his laughter. As a reference to the laughter in the stars, the clip of this edition is adorned with a golden star. The subtle little prince and his friend the fox are engraved on the handcrafted feather made of rhodium-plated 14 K gold. A sentence from the original book is engraved on the tip of the writing instrument, which is available as a fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint pen: "Créer des liens? ... Tu seras pour moi unique au monde" ("Familiarize? ... "You will be unique to me in the world.")


The masterpiece Le Petit Prince Doué Classique Edition
combines a deep blue lacquered body with the luminosity of a platinum-plated cap decorated with an elegant engraved fox pattern. The shiny surface of the platinum is echoed by the cone, cap and clip, which are made of metal. The latter is adorned with a yellow star. The edition is available as a ballpoint pen, rollerball and fountain pen with a two-tone 18 K gold nib adorned with the contours of the little prince and the fox. In the Meisterstück Le Petit Prince Solitaire Edition, the fox pattern extends across the cap and barrel: it is engraved into the deep blue lacquer. The platinum-plated metal fittings form an enchanting contrast to the blue color. At the top of the writing instruments is the Montblanc emblem, which is surrounded by the words of the fox about human connections, taken directly from Saint-Exupéry's book. To complete the Le Petit Prince masterpiece writing experience, Montblanc offers a special dark orange ink and refills inspired by the fox and reminiscent of its fur. A notebook is also available, bound in fine Saffiano leather. The cover is adorned with an embossed scene of the fox, taken from the author's drawings. The story of the Little Prince served as inspiration for selected Meisterstück Le Petit Prince men's accessories, including a pair of round cufflinks made of stainless steel with deep blue lacquer and the fox's face in the middle, a money clip made of stainless steel and blue lacquer and a braided men's bracelet with a stainless steel clasp adorned with a yellow star.
