Austria's first professional swimming pond and natural pool builder Karl Sailer celebrates 40 years in business.


Founded in 1980 in the Upper Austrian town of Pöndorf
Karl Sailer GmbH & Co KG has been one of the country's leading garden architecture and natural pool construction companies right from the start. Responsible for this: Karl Sailer Sr. His domain was and is the design of sophisticated gardens and natural swimming oases. His claim: to intuitively touch the viewer with compositions of plants, flowing and standing water, natural stone, decorative elements and sophisticated lighting. He has realized more than 1,000 projects in his career, most of them natural pools, which have made him a pioneer in this field. His approach is to support nature through gentle technology in order to maintain a consistently high, biologically pure water quality.


In recent years
the renowned company has realized extraordinary projects under the management of son Karl Sailer, for example for the chalet village La Soa. Special highlights: The 1,500 m² crystal lake at the exclusive chalet resort La Posch won the Galabau Award and the VÖSN Photo Award in 2017 and was nominated for the international PONDY Award in 2019. The natural swimming lake at Austria's best-known organic hotel "Stanglwirt" was awarded "Natural Pool of the Year" in 2014, and the facility for the Hotel Gmachl in 1998. On July 4, 2020, the company celebrates its 40th anniversary at its headquarters in Pöndorf. Come and take a look!
