Greenstorm Mobility exchanges vouchers for empty hotel rooms for e-bikes. The hoteliers like the idea of offering their guests something new without having to pay for it or pay for storage. "Hoteliers like the idea of exchanging empty beds for a product that would be expensive to buy," says Greenstorm Managing Director Philipp Zimmermann. Considering that the average occupancy rate in the DACH region is 50 percent, the hoteliers themselves determine the period for redeeming the vouchers and save on the purchase, maintenance and storage of the e-bikes over the winter months, this is definitely a worthwhile deal.

"But in addition to the added value from empty rooms, there is another important aspect: Hoteliers can appeal to a new group of guests with e-bikes," adds Richard Hirschhuber, who, in addition to being Managing Director of Greenstorm, also owns the boutique hotel Träumerei#8 by Auracher Löchl in Kufstein. The e-bikes have up to 800 kilometers on the clock at the end of the season. They are serviced and refurbished by Greenstorm and sold as demonstration e-bikes via a dealer network. The bike dealers can offer their customers nine different, high-quality e-bike brands with a discount of up to 50%. Again: without financing, without storage. In return, you get rental e-bikes for your customers to hire or test.

At 25.8% in 2014, e-bikes have even overtaken trekking bikes as the most popular type of bike in Germany (source: idealo.de/statista) and now inspire all cyclists. Classic mountain bikers, who want to maintain a healthy heart rate despite steep routes and cover much longer distances, as well as downhill or fat bike riders, who now also have fun riding uphill. But cyclists who simply want to see a little more of the vacation region are also happy to switch to a bike with electric assistance.

In exchange for vouchers for free rooms, Greenstorm provides you with high-quality e-bikes to use free of charge. At the end of the season, you return the e-bikes. You do not have to worry about maintenance, storage or financing of the e-bikes. You can choose between e-mountain bikes, e-city bikes, e-fat bikes, e-fullies and e-kids bikes from eight high-quality brands. If your guests are not interested in e-bikes, Greenstorm will exchange the free room contingents for e-cars such as Tesla or e-charging stations.
