Greenstorm Mobility cooperates with SMATRICS

Austria's leading provider of electric cars and bikes is launching a tourism-oriented charging network. Greenstorm is a young company from Tyrol that put down roots as a start-up in the e-mobility sector. Greenstorm is now one of Europe's leading dealers of used electric cars and almost-new e-bikes. The rental of these means of transportation is another mainstay of the e-mobility provider.

Greenstorm's concept is based on countertrade with hoteliers. Hotels can exchange their vacant rooms and cable car and ski lift operators their day ski passes for one or more electric vehicles of their choice. In addition to e-bikes, e-scooters, e-quads, Tesla Model S and X, there are many other vehicles to choose from. The central aim of the company is to make tourism a little more sustainable.

The cooperation with SMATRICS now also allows hotels to swap their empty beds for charging stations. This option offers the advantage that guests can now also charge their electric cars at participating hotels. The charging stations are very easy to operate using a smartphone and payment by credit card. The cooperation is planning to build 200 charging stations between Munich and Verona or Vienna and Bregenz. The charging stations are currently available free of charge, and an attractive package for electric vehicle users is being developed.
