Pauline Rochas from the Parisian perfume dynasty of the same name has created two exclusive fragrances for the Vienna Palaishotel: The uniquely imperial Gold Scent and the exquisitely seductive Silver Scent. In keeping with their composition, these fragrances are produced in the perfume capital of Grasse and are available both as a unique room fragrance and as an elegant scented candle.

grew up in Paris, Bordeaux and on the Côte d'Azur. She not only developed a deep affection for nature, but also for the arts. The first to recognize the artist in Pauline Rochas was the influential "Queen of Elegance" herself, Hélène Rochas, who gave her granddaughter her first camera. After years of photography - with her own studio in New York - and the death of her grandmother, Pauline Rochas was drawn to the "haute parfumerie". Today, she works there as a sought-after freelance creative director for exquisite fragrance concepts. Pauline Rochas, a Viennese by choice, has developed the Gold and Silver Scent exclusively for the Austrian hotel icon and translated it as follows: The Gold Scent takes you on a sensual journey, to a place where imperial splendor of the past has been masterfully combined with the comforts of the modern world. A creation which, with its tangy grapefruit note and a hint of warm cinnamon, appears quite unagitated and almost deceptively simple at the beginning, only to reveal a heart accord of cedarwood and pink pepper a little later, which subliminally gives the fragrance a far bolder appearance. The earthy base of sweet and tart vetiver and delicately spicy patchouli gives it depth and structure and ensures that it lasts all day. A true work of art, a harmonious combination of classicism and modernity.


The House's second fragrance, Silver Scent
pays homage to the sweet, culinary delights commonly associated with traditional Viennese hospitality. Top notes of candied oranges and fruity apples merge with a heavenly combination of spicy cinnamon and ripe plums in this elegant creation, while creamy vanilla and precious amber give it an almost chocolaty effect.
