A contemporary format for the global travel industry: in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, ITB Berlin has decided to hold the world's leading tourism trade show completely digitally next year. The virtual B2B event is called ITB Berlin NOW. Under the title "The digital meeting place for the travel industry. Anytime. Anywhere." The global, digital event format is aimed at the B2B target group of exhibitors, trade visitors and buyers from all segments along the tourism value chain as well as journalists, travel bloggers and sponsors. The new platform of the digital ITB Berlin will initially be available to all participants from February 2021 for registration and profile maintenance. From March 9 - 12, all participants will then benefit from numerous networking opportunities, individual exhibitor profiles, conference content and industry news. After the event, the platform will be available to registered participants until May 31, 2021. During this period, they can also view all on-demand content at a later date. As usual, the ITB Berlin Convention will also take place in parallel, which will also be held digitally and invite top-class experts to discuss current topics in the tourism industry.

"The coronavirus pandemic is also providing a massive boost to digitalization in the trade fair industry," comments David Ruetz, Head of ITB Berlin. "ITB Berlin NOW will be a highly exciting and central online platform for successful business, new and existing contacts, inspiration and interaction for the global travel industry. In 2021, ITB Berlin will continue to show how important it is to have a platform like ITB Berlin NOW where the global industry can meet in one place as usual, albeit purely digitally. In the long term, the world's leading tourism trade show will take on a hybrid character with a mixture of analog and virtual elements. For 2021, we have decided to offer the tourism industry a top-class, purely digital event. Many important exhibitors are already signaling their great interest in the digital participation options."
