Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort: German Michelin chefs as guests in Cyprus
Star cuisine meets beach backdrop
As part of an exclusive series of events, the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort on Cyprus is welcoming three top-class star chefs from Germany - a culinary highlight with an international format.
Cyprus is increasingly establishing itself as a stage for discerning gourmets - and Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort plays a central role in this. From January to November 2025 the five-star resort on the south-west coast of the island will be transformed into a top-class gourmet destination: eleven internationally awarded Michelin chefs, including three top chefs from Germany, will present their creations in a unique fine dining series in the hotel's own gourmet restaurant Sky Seven .
German top cuisine meets Cypriot terroir
The invited chefs from Germany, who are decorated with up to three Michelin stars, not only bring their unmistakable signatures to Cyprus, but also draw inspiration from local ingredients and Mediterranean cuisine. Together with the hotel's head chef, Andreas Charalambous , and his team, they create dishes that combine flavor, craftsmanship and authenticity at the highest level.
Whether artful interpretations of classic compositions or new sensory journeys - the German signature remains clearly recognizable: precise, creative, product-focused. Each evening thus becomes unique - one-off, unrepeatable, exclusive in the best sense of the word.

Anton Gschwendtner: Star chef with a keen sense for flavors
Anton Gschwendtner comes from a family of restaurateurs and has worked hard and passionately to establish himself as one of the best chefs in Germany. His culinary career has taken him from the Hotel Königshof in Munich to renowned Michelin-starred kitchens such as Acquarello and Petermann's Kunststuben to leading positions as head chef, including at the Sofitel Bayerpost Munich and Olivio Stuttgart.
There he impressed with his creative cuisine, which combines Asian sophistication with Mediterranean and regional elements - delicate, aromatic and always precisely to the point. His dishes are an expression of technical perfection and harmony of taste.
Awarded two Michelin stars , Anton Gschwendtner returned for the second time on April 25 and 26, 2025 for the Sky Stars event at Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort. Guests were able to enjoy a culinary experience that brought tradition, innovation and international inspiration to the plate in style.
Thomas Bühner: world-class cooking
Awarded three Michelin stars , Thomas Bühner is one of Germany's most renowned chefs. After working for greats such as Harald Wohlfahrt and Jörg Müller , he took over the restaurant La Table in Dortmund in 1991 and later the multi-award-winning la vie in Osnabrück, which became a culinary pilgrimage site under his management. Bühner's style: avant-garde, strong flavors, precise - and yet surprisingly accessible.
His compositions combine a variety of ingredients to create harmonious taste experiences, always with the aim of bringing out the natural flavor of each individual product. International guest appearances have taken him to Bangkok, Seoul, Hyderabad and Singapore, among other places.
Following his success at Sky Stars 2024, Thomas Bühner will be returning to the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort on June 27 & 28, 2025 .
Tristan Brandt: Star chef with an international vision
Tristan Brandt is one of Germany's best-known chefs - as the country's youngest two-star chef , culinary consultant and creative mind behind international gourmet concepts. Under his brand "by Tristan Brandt", he manages fine dining projects, promotes up-and-coming talent and organizes top-class festivals such as the Waldhaus Flims Festival of the Arts in Switzerland and the Palatinate Gourmet Festival in Deidesheim.
His cuisine: French-influenced, interpreted in a modern way, with a refined Asian influence. Brandt was influenced by working with cooking legends such as Harald Wohlfahrt, Dieter Müller and Jordi Cruz. With OPUS V in Mannhheim, he fulfilled his dream of having his own Michelin-starred restaurant in 2013 together with Richard Engelhorn - and was awarded two Michelin stars shortly afterwards.
In all his projects, he combines top cuisine with entrepreneurial vision - and always remains a supporter of the next generation.
On August 29 & 30, 2025 he will open the kitchen at Cap St Georges.
