Caminada meets Hublot
Fusion in haute cuisine
Andreas Caminada is the new Chef de Cuisine at Hublot. What separates the good from the best is talent, esprit, determination and passion. It is this quest for the absolute that unites Hublot and its friends!
There are destinies that life brings together 2004, the year that changed everything for Hublot and Andreas Caminada and marked the beginning of their meteoric rise. For Hublot, it was the arrival of Jean-Claude Biver as CEO and the development of the Big Bang, which was presented a few months later in 2005. For the latter, it was the first Michelin star. No wonder that sooner or later they joined forces.
To announce this new partnership, Hublot traveled to Andreas Caminada's castle in Fürstenau - a small village in the canton of Graubünden - where time seems to have stood still. A place that radiates the Swissness that the watch manufacturer holds dear. A place where you understand who Andreas Caminada is. His castle in Fürstenau reveals much about the philosophy he lives by. A building that retains all the advantages of its history and has been given a new lease of life in the form of a straightforward and extremely modern interior. A bit like his plates - finely tuned like the dial of a clock - where each component fulfills a precise function and interlocks with all the others to offer a unique explosion of flavours and blend of authenticity and innovation. Andreas Caminada from Graubünden follows his instincts and plays with textures and senses without ever changing the original taste of the ingredients he uses. He preserves the original spirit of the art of cooking and at the same time demonstrates boundless creativity in his dishes. At his place of creation, he reinvents the classics.
Andreas is an exceptional talent whose culinary artistry is a source of enthusiasm worldwide. A landowner who uses regional produce, grows some of it himself and pursues his culinary craft with the utmost, watchmaker-like precision. He has a preference for simple and natural things. As Europe's youngest chef with 3 Michelin stars, he has made a name for himself internationally and, with his 19 Gault & Millau points and his stars, has been a star in the gastronomic firmament for seven years. He combines boldness, innovation and tradition in a virtuoso manner. He also creates such a relaxed atmosphere that eating at his table feels like being a guest at the family table.
Andreas Caminada and Hublot combine their ingredients to create a menu of surprising and bold creations. A collaboration that will bring a breath of fresh air to the manufacture's revolutionary art of watchmaking by combining their creativity. An ambitious project to keep an eye on.
