Beauty 2.0: High-tech for the skin
Firm without surgery with the Plasma Pen!
The future of beauty: Drooping eyelids and eye wrinkles are often the first signs of ageing. When the skin around the eyes loses its elasticity, many people decide to undergo eyelid lift surgery. However, a complex surgical procedure is not always necessary. An eyelid lift with the plasma pen can be a sensible alternative, especially if wrinkles are beginning to form. This involves tightening the skin by applying controlled heat to specific points.
The plasma pen is an innovative device
whose mode of operation is based on so-called plasma technology. The device generates a punctual heat source by converting the ambient air. This acts externally on the skin, removing it over a tiny area and thus achieving skin shrinkage. This is also referred to as the "shrinking effect". The plasma pen was developed as a non-invasive alternative to traditional wrinkle tightening. The Plasma Pen removes excess skin without any incisions or surgical intervention. This means it can also be used for other applications, whether for tattoo removal or the treatment of pigmentation marks, scars and other skin changes.
How does the plasma pen work on drooping eyelids and eye wrinkles?
"Drooping eyelids and wrinkles around the eyes occur when the skin sags with age. The fine skin around the eyes in particular reacts very sensitively to external and internal influences. This makes it particularly susceptible to wrinkling. Excess skin around the eyes is removed as part of an eyelid lift. Wrinkles and drooping eyelids are smoothed out and the eyes look open and radiant again," says beauty expert Dr. Zahlbruckner from Vienna.
In contrast to surgical eyelid lifting, the plasma pen works without skin incisions and without direct contact with the skin.
The excess skin is not removed in its entirety, but by applying heat to specific points. The plasma pen generates a tiny plasma cloud by converting the ambient air. The plasma consists of charged particles that hit the skin in a point-like manner and remove it superficially. Treatment with the plasma pen creates tiny injuries on the surface of the skin. The skin contracts in the treated areas ("shrinking effect"). After the healing phase, the skin appears visibly firmer. The deeper layers of tissue are not touched during plasmage, so the skin heals without scarring.
"In aesthetic medicine, the plasma pen is used to treat various skin changes.
In addition to drooping eyelids and crow's feet, other facial wrinkles can also be treated effectively, such as upper lip wrinkles or excess skin on the ear," explains Dr. Zahlbruckner. Plasmage is also used to remove pigment spots and small tattoos. Even pronounced skin changes such as fibromas, moles, injury or acne scars can usually be treated successfully.
