ART SALZBURG CONTEMPORARY 2018 in Salzburg

ART SALZBURG CONTEMPORARY 2018 presents top-class art in the city of Mozart from October 19 to 21, 2018.

The second edition of ART SALZBURG CONTEMPORARY
will take place at the same time and "door to door" with Austria's most important classic car fair, Classic Expo, at Messezentrum Salzburg. Visitors can look forward to a successful symbiosis between top-class art and the "Living Legends" of automotive history. In terms of content, the exhibition program builds on the international standard of the first edition and presents a successful mix of big established names in pop art such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Tom Wesselmann, top-class artists such as Alex Katz and Damien Hirst and younger contemporary artists who are currently positioning themselves internationally such as Heiner Meyer, Drago Prelog, Russell Young, Robert Longo, Sonia Delauny and Sam Francis.

Other internationally successful positions are presented in the form of pop artist Michel Friess
the South Tyrolean sculptor Friedrich Sebastian Feichter and the Austrian painter and graphic artist Arik Brauer, whose works are now only shown in museums. The "Galerie Z22" from Berlin is participating for the first time with outstanding paintings by the French-Algerian artist Taymour Benkhalef alias BENKA. Printmaker and painter Paul Raas will be presenting another highlight: As part of an on-site show print, he will be processing his new "Contemporary Art Coins", small and medium-sized round copper discs - an artistic reflection on current currency trends with highly aesthetic motifs from Raas' macrocosm. One ticket = two exhibitions. Admission is valid for both ART SALZBURG CONTEMPORARY 2018 and Classic Expo 2018!
