ART INNSBRUCK from January 17 to 20, 2019

The art year gets off to a good start with this fair.

For almost a quarter of a century, Johanna Penz, founder and CEO of Kunstmesse GmbH, has been organizing at least one art fair every year, and for the past two years there have even been two on a regular basis. How does that work? "Only with perfect timing and the appropriate perseverance," smiles Penz.

She knows what she's talking about.
As soon as the second edition of Salzburg Contemporary & Antique International, which was only founded last year and took place at the same time as Classic Expo from October 19 to 21, has been dismantled, the planning for ART INNSBRUCK, the fair with which Penz entered the art fair business 24 years ago and which has long been regarded in the industry as a showcase project for a purely private art fair, is already underway. "We combine diversity with internationality in our fairs and have offered our audience a high-quality yet unpretentious approach to contemporary art since the very beginning," explains Penz. "Putting on an art fair that only focuses on the supposed elite and asks the taxpayer to pay for it is really not art, but actually a nuisance," adds the smart businesswoman with a smile, but firmly.

Art needs to be seen by the people, and it should not only hang in museums, but especially in people's apartments and houses.
After all, that's what art fairs are for. All the more so as there are so many great artists who live and work precisely to ensure that their art is bought. The dedicated art fair organizer, who was even named Entrepreneur of the Year at the beginning of the year for her proven entrepreneurial spirit, has therefore been eager to offer her audience the best of all possible exhibitor mixes every year, as well as inspiring specials and special shows. "Art can do anything, except one thing: stand still and be boring," is the credo of the passionate frequent runner.

Art fairs should also keep moving.
Penz and her team will be happy to prove that this is the case again from January 17 to 20 in Exhibition Hall A in Innsbruck.

More than 90 exhibitors - galleries and art dealers from 8 - 10 nations - will be presenting international contemporary art
, classical modernism and other treasures of the 19th/20th/21st century - paintings, works on paper, editioned objects, original prints, sculptures, objects/installations, artists' books, photographs, new media and other treasures.
