3D selfie
Personalized photo products
ifolor is the market leader in Switzerland for personalized photo products such as photo books, calendars and wall decorations. Now the Kreuzlingen-based family business is taking the next innovative step in photography product development and launching the first standardized 3D product, TWINSIE. The online photo product service provider is thus making 3D printing technology suitable for the masses. From February 5, 2018, you can have your selfie made in 3D at the TWINSIE pop-up gallery on Limmattalstrasse in Zurich - for just CHF 149. Appointments can be made online from now until the end of March.
If you would like to hold yourself in your hand for once,
can now have themselves miniaturized as a 3D photo figure. This is made possible by state-of-the-art 3D scanning and printing technology, thanks to which the Kreuzlingen-based family business ifolor can now offer the 3D selfie TWINSIE as a cost-effective mass product. "The new technology makes photography an even more tactile experience," enthuses Filip P. Schwarz, third-generation Managing Director of ifolor. "Even shooting in the photo box with 68 photo cameras is an experience". The personal photo experience has always been at the heart of the almost 60-year-old family business. "ifolor wants to capture and convey emotions - that doesn't change in the digital world," says Filip P. Schwarz. 3D photography is quite simply the next logical step in technical development. And with the "You-in-3D" figure TWINSIE, the 3D selfie is now suitable for the masses.
The interior design of the elegant TWINSIE pop-up gallery,
which opens on February 5, 2018 for eight weeks at Limmatstrasse 285, was created by the renowned interior stylist Martina Nievergelt. She has surprisingly arranged many colorful miniature figures in a wonderfully poetic miniature world in white. In the middle of the TWINSIE pop-up gallery is the photo box, where you can have your picture taken and three-dimensionally vectorized by 68 cameras at the same time using the photogrammetry process. After selecting the favorite pose, the 3D figure is printed in Kreuzlingen in a process lasting 8 to 12 hours, depending on the complexity. The result is an amazingly detailed 3D photo figure made of polymer plaster on a scale of 1:10, which is sent to you just three weeks after the shoot. Appointments can now be booked on the website www.twinsie.ch.
