Two brand professionals conquer design stars
The Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels
For once, the focus today was not on the guest...
...but massive hospitality and design know-how: the CEOs of Porsche Design and Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts presented their new joint brand at the Steigenberger Hotel Munich. A mega-company!
Guests should experience hospitality made by Steigenberger "with all their senses", says Deutsche Hospitality CEO Marcus Bernhardt. The passionate host - 40 years of top hotel industry experience, cosmopolitan Swiss, curious, creative and cosmopolitan - met the heads of Porsche Design and Porsche Design Studios, Dr. Jan Becker and Roland Heiler, at the press conference to present a first-class hotel concept to journalists: Zeitgeist, design and service excellence are the basis of the two global brands for their joint "brand experience": the
Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels
. 15 hotels in global cities such as Dubai, Shanghai, London and Singapore are in the pipeline, Bernhardt mentions "enormous interest" from financial investors, especially from the Middle East.
Hedonistic guests - millennials and digital natives were specifically mentioned as one of the desired target groups - can expect a "brand experience created from the design philosophy and values of the exclusive lifestyle brand Porsche Design, combined with the excellence and experience of Steigenberger's more than 90-year tradition as a prestigious hotelier."
For customers, this means a design experience that reflects Porsche's purist, absolute quality standards as DNA in all hotel areas and in the 150 rooms and suites, plus plenty of individuality and service highlights at check-in, gastronomy, in the bar and in the huge wellness area. Bernhardt wants to set real "landmarks" here, in an environmentally friendly way: "Sustainability does not mean sacrificing luxury." Becker, for his part, sees opportunities to introduce the Porsche Design brand to a broader public by moving from architecture to hospitality. The enormous sales power of the globally active Steigenberger/Deutsche Hospitality Group with massive Chinese capital and a possible imminent IPO could make Becker's vision a reality sooner than expected, especially in Asia and the Middle East.
