The apartment resort in Sölden starts under German management

THE SECRET Sölden will open its doors and welcome guests for the first time on December 18, 2021. It has now been announced that winter sports enthusiast Rene Steinhausen is returning to Tyrol for the second time since 2015 to take over the management of the new apartment resort in the Austrian Ötztal.

Secret revealed

Most recently, the 31-year-old Westphalian managed Glemm by AvenidA, the flagship hotel of the Austrian alpinfamily group in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Steinhausen led it through the final construction phase and pre-opening and opened it in May 2021. Before that, the trained hotel manager had already gained a wide range of experience. He worked in front office management at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts and the renowned Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf, among others. Further professional stations took the German to Australia, New Zealand and Sylt.

Relaxation and luxury are to merge into an innovative overall concept. The focus is on the homely feel-good character of the hotel and an informal open-house approach. "At THE SECRET Sölden, we are breaking with classic traditions and creating our own," says Steinhausen.
This means, among other things, that the day bar with lobby is transformed into a chic restaurant in the evening thanks to multifunctional elements and smart interior design. This will make LA'LIV a popular meeting place for guests and locals alike. The highlight on the roof is the partially glazed Sky Bar. It is the only one of its kind in the entire region. The hotel is in a prime ski-in, ski-out location at the Gaislachkogelbahn, which will delight winter sports enthusiasts. You will be accommodated in 44 spacious accommodation units. These are equipped with spacious living units, fully equipped kitchens and outstanding design elements. In the LE FEEL wellness area, you can enjoy saunas, a steam bath, relaxation room, fitness area and infinity pool.
