PROUD Experiences 2024
Flight fee discount for travel agencies from Europe!
From June 3-5, 2024, the PROUD Experiences luxury travel trade show will take place for the second time at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. This year, the first trade show dedicated to inclusion and the LGBTQ+ luxury travel sector is supporting travel agents from Europe with an increased airfare discount.
Participation in PROUD Experiences includes two days of pre-scheduled business appointments, access to all PROUD business, education and networking events, up to three nights' accommodation in a Los Angeles hotel and a flight contribution discount of up to US$1,000, depending on country of departure and subject to availability.
"At our first PROUD in LA this year, there was a waiting list of registrations for buyers and exhibitors after the event sold out. We wanted to make it even more accessible for travel agents to attend next year and have increased the discount offered as we accept all pre-qualified agents," explains Simon Mayle, Event Director, PROUD Experiences.
"We are very excited to continue working with PROUD Experiences," said Albert Herrera, Executive Vice President, Partner Relations, at Internova Travel Group, one of the world's largest travel service providers and PROUD Experiences' primary sponsor. "LGTBQ+ travelers are an important part of our business and events like PROUD Experiences are essential for our travel advisors to serve this community. They play an important role in keeping us aware of trends, enriching our relationships with supplier partners and keeping us up to date with the most exciting experiences around the world."
At PROUD Experiences, more than 180 suppliers from 40 countries will meet with international buyers to understand, connect and develop business strategies within the LGBTQ+ community. Participating brands include Aman, Fasano, Gleneagles, Hotel Esencia, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Las Ventanas A Rosewood Resort, L'Oscar, One & Only Palmilla, Peninsula, Ritz-Carlton Hotels of Japan, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, The Dolder Grand, Ultima Collection and tourism boards such as Tourism Australia, Austrian Tourism Office and Los Cabos.
Karime Buraye, Aman's Head of Sales for the Americas, commented: "Aman is delighted to once again participate in PROUD Experiences as this is a unique opportunity for us to explore the dynamic LGBTQ+ travel segment and learn and implement best practices to enhance our offerings. Participating in PROUD Experiences gives our teams the opportunity to strengthen relationships with our loyal travel industry customers and meet high profile clients. PROUD Experiences allows us to reaffirm our support and respect for our customers and contribute to the vibrant diversity of LGBTQ+ travel experiences."
According to Reports & Insights, the LGBTQ+ market is expected to reach 568.5 billion US dollars by 2030.
