Private pool residences unveiled
Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas with the world's largest private residence
Nature-inspired design, luxury and even more space: with the completion of the renovation of both two-bedroom Over Water Pool Residences at Anantara Kihava Maldives Villas, the resort in Baa Atoll launches its collection of the largest private pool residences in the world. The multi-million euro project began in 2020 with the redesign of the two, three and four bedroom Beach Villas.
Over Water Pool Residences
All residences honor the region with traditional Kajan palm roofs and decks made of high-quality Balau wood. The pools are tiled with Sukabumhi stone and shimmer in different shades of blue and green in the sunlight. Instead of the previously dark wood tones, lighter colors, rattan details and Maldivian motifs now dominate after the renovation. Ceiling-high doors connect guests with nature and provide breathtaking views. The bathrooms have also been completely redesigned, including an indoor waterfall. A private Couples Treatment Room and a Technogym are part of every villa, whether on the beach or outside in the lagoon.
However, the two Over Water Pool Residences, which were recently completed, are a source of particular pride. Situated over a crystal-clear and tranquil lagoon, they are each 1,500 square meters in size and have floor-to-ceiling windows that guarantee uninterrupted views of the sky and ocean. Perfect for multi-generational vacations and larger groups, the two villas include a professional kitchen, living and dining rooms, en-suite bathrooms and open spaces. The Over Water Pool Residences even include a pavilion for outdoor dining and, of course, an infinity pool.
Even larger at 2,000 square meters, but located on the beach, the Four Bedroom Beach Pool Residence is the crown jewel of the resort. Up to eight adults and four children or 12 adults can be accommodated here, and the clever layout means that plenty of time can be spent together, yet each guest enjoys privacy and moments to themselves. An infinity pool awaits in the tropical garden to cool off, and there is also a pavilion for eating meals together outdoors. The other beachfront hideaways have an area of 1,330 square meters (two bedrooms) and 1,770 square meters (three bedrooms).
A dedicated villa host and, on request, a wine sommelier, private chef and babysitting service make every stay a private and unforgettable experience.
