New member of Relais & Châteaux Germany

Star chef Nelson Müller has been accepted

It was a unanimous decision: Nelson Müller, the Michelin-starred chef, was accepted into the renowned hotel and restaurant association Relais & Châteaux with his restaurant Schote in Essen.

Passion and vision

"The entire traditional German delegation is delighted to welcome Nelson Müller to our family as an outstanding chef, host, entrepreneur and visionary," says Natalie Fischer-Nagel, Delegate for Relais & Châteaux Germany and Hotel Director of the Weissenhaus Grand Village Resort & Spa am Meer, also a member of the association. The reasoning is as convincing as it is simple: "We believe that our values such as sincere hospitality, the pursuit of the best, sustainable quality and a genuine sense of community are impressively presented by Nelson Müller. We are also particularly indebted to our long-standing member Holger Bodendorf, who represents Germany in the World Culinary Council, for bringing his long-time friend Nelson Müller into our midst."

And Nelson Müller is also delighted. He has made a name for himself with menus that fuse origins, cultures and culinary ideas. He lives and breathes sustainability - not only in terms of the ingredients he uses, but also in social terms. Together with the Schote team, he celebrates family hospitality in the heart of Essen's Rüttenscheid nightlife district. "We need food that embraces the soul," says the popular chef, who has since earned himself a Michelin star and was unanimously accepted into the renowned hotel and restaurant association.

Müller is thus part of the currently 580 unique hotels and restaurants around the world, all of which stand for passion for their vocation and the desire for sincere hospitality. Founded in France in 1954, the association is present on five continents and invites people all over the world to embark on enjoyable journeys and unforgettable experiences.
