New position for Isabelle Bouvier

The Frenchwoman will manage the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury

It is a historic moment - not only for Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels, but for the entire luxury hotel industry in the country: Isabelle Bouvier has been appointed General Manager of the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury, the flagship hotel in Mauritius. The Frenchwoman is still in charge of the prestigious Hotel Lutetia in Paris, but will take over from Gregory Coquet on October 1, 2021. This will be the first time since its opening that the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury will be managed by a woman.

"We are delighted that Isabelle Bouvier will soon be joining the Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury team. Her extensive experience in the luxury hotel industry, her extensive network, her leadership skills and her commitment to the team will be crucial in taking our group's flagship resort forward," said Gilbert Espitalier-Noël, CEO of the Beachcomber Group.

Experience & Commitment

In fact, the manager has over 25 years in the luxury hotel industry. She holds an MBA from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce International de Fontainebleau and a degree in International Business. She began her career in 1995 at the Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel before moving on to several prestigious hotel brands in the French capital. She has worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts as well as Concorde Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Paris Le Grand and The Peninsula Paris. Since 2017, Bouvier has managed the Hotel Lutetia, where she played a key role in the hotel receiving the "Palace" label and the Forbes 5-Star Hotel & Spa Award.

Now her expertise will benefit the luxury hotel in Mauritius: "I am delighted to become part of the Beachcomber family and am proud to soon be a member of the great team at Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury. The hotel is one of the most famous addresses in the Indian Ocean on a great island that combines authenticity, luxury and tradition, says Isabelle Bouvier. "Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is also very proud to welcome a woman who embodies the image of luxury hospitality at the helm of this iconic hotel. This is a great first and an important step for the luxury hotel industry in Mauritius"; the CEO scatters flowers for her.
