New management at Kerzner International
Kirsten Simon as new Director, Sales and Marketing Central Europe
Kerzner International, the leading international developer and operator of vacation resorts, luxury hotels and residences, has appointed Kirsten Simon as its sales and marketing manager for Central Europe.
Multifaceted task
The names associated with Kerzner International are illustrious: Atlantis, One&Only and Mazagan are just a few of them. Since April 1, Kirsten Simon has been managing all sales and marketing activities of Kerzner International in Central Europe from the regional sales office in Frankfurt as Director, Sales and Marketing - Central Europe. Simon's responsibilities include implementing commercial strategies across Central Europe, maintaining and further developing relationships and collaboration opportunities with retail partners and other relevant brands and companies. She reports to Brett Armitage, Chief Commercial Officer at Kerzner International in Dubai.
Simon's tasks are just as diverse as the brand portfolio. A challenge for which she has been able to prepare herself well in recent years, as Simon is no stranger to the luxury hotel industry. She has already held a number of strategic management roles at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC and Marriott International. For example, she was responsible for establishing the Reserve brand extension as well as the BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts and EDITION Hotels brands.
The merger of Marriott with Starwood Hotels and the expansion of the St. Regis and Luxury Collection brands took place during Simon's time as Corporate Director, Travel Industry, Europe. In her last position as Director of Sales at STR Destination Handling GmbH & Co. KG, she was responsible for the organizational and strategic direction of the division in cooperation with the management.
