Markus Lewe is the new COO of DSR Hotel Holding

Strategic management change with a focus on sustainability

Markus Lewe has been the new Chief Operating Officer of DSR Hotel Holding since May 1, 2025 . The 56-year-old will assume operational responsibility for the Group's 33 hotels and resorts and report directly to CEO Marek Andryszak. Lewe has more than 30 years of experience in the international hotel industry and worked for Marriott International for almost three decades, most recently as Area Vice President Central Europe. His responsibilities included the integration of Starwood Hotels in Central Europe and the management of over 50 hotels in several countries. Further stations in his career led him to HRG Hotels and Wohnvoll Hospitality Service.

In 2022, he was awarded the "Order for Special Humanitarian Commitment" by DEHOGA Hessen.

Clear focus on the leisure segment and sustainable concepts

In addition to traditional hotel operations management, Lewe will also be responsible for the areas of technology, spa and food & beverage in future. "I am very much looking forward to the new challenge at DSR Hotel Holding. The focus on sophisticated leisure hotels as well as the strong portfolio and attractive locations offer great potential. I find it particularly appealing to be part of a development that focuses on earthbound travel and sustainable vacation concepts," says Lewe.

Marek Andryszak, CEO of DSR Hotel Holding, is also convinced: "With Markus Lewe, we are gaining a competent manager who brings extensive operational experience as well as an eye for innovative developments. We are very much looking forward to working together and to further expanding our position in the vacation hotel industry."
