Lise Egenius becomes GM
Born in Denmark, she manages the first Scandinavian 25hours Hotel
Each of the now 13 hotels is a colorful design icon in its own right, but all members of the 25hours brand inspire with their relaxed atmosphere, authenticity and personality. It goes without saying that a real personality has to be in charge of the individual hotels. For the first Scandinavian 25hours hotel, this personality was found in Danish-born Lise Egenius.
Where it all began
Although the founders Christoph Hoffmann, Kai Hollmann, Ardi Goldman and Stephan Gerhard first met in Copenhagen and had the idea to found their group there, it would be almost 20 years before the brand would open its first hotel in the Danish capital. Now, however, the time has finally come in spring 2022. 243 rooms, located in four buildings in the heart of Copenhagen's city center, will offer travelers who appreciate individuality a home away from home.
In culinary terms, guests can look forward to tried and tested long-standing partners. Bar pioneer Jörg Meyer will be designing a Boilerman Bar for Copenhagen, while the Molcho family is planning its seventh NENI in a 25-hour hotel. New to the culinary team is Italian pastry chef Melissa Forti, who will exclusively offer cakes and tarts made from organic ingredients in her Café Dusi.
Lise Egenius is the General Manager of the 25hours Hotel Indre By, as the hotel will be called. She is no stranger to the travel industry: "Lise Egenius is one of Copenhagen's most experienced hoteliers. We were immediately impressed by her warm and professional manner. We are delighted to know that this extraordinary 25hours project is in very good hands and wish her and her team a great start and every success with the opening in spring 2022," Henning Weiß, Project Director Copenhagen, is quoted as saying.
Egenius previously managed the Hotel Guldsmeden, among others, and has already opened two hotels for Brøchner Hotels in the Scandi metropolis. She herself is already looking forward to the task ahead of her. She has known the brand for a long time: "Since I met Christoph Hoffmann in 2005 during his Fox Hotel project for VW in Copenhagen, I have always kept an eye on 25hours and followed it from afar," she says. But 25hours Hotels is far from finished with the 25hours Indre By. The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is due to open in 2021, and Sydney and Melbourne are also in the pipeline.
