Karl. J. Pojer has assumed responsibility for the entire hotel division of DER Touristik Group. As CEO of the DER Touristik Hotel Division, he reports to Dr. Ingo Burmester, CEO Central Europe and member of the Executive Board of DER Touristik Group. He has also been appointed to the Extended Executive Board of DER Touristik Group.

Pojer will continue in his role as CEO Tourism of DSR Hotel Holding. The hotel division of DER Touristik Group has recently grown strongly through acquisitions - including the complete takeover of the premium club brand Aldiana, the acquisition of hotel properties and the purchase of a majority stake in DR Hospitality at the beginning of January. Today, the hotel division comprises ten brands and over 100 hotels, resorts and clubs in 14 countries worldwide. "With Karl J. Pojer, we have gained an extremely experienced and renowned top manager as the new CEO of our hotel division. He knows the industry and the business like no other. And we are convinced that he will continue to drive our ambitious growth course forward," explains Burmester. "We also know that our hotel business is in the best hands when it comes to sharpening and positioning our brands and the quality of the hotel experience."

Pojer can look back on a long career with top management positions in the international hotel and cruise industry. He has worked for Kempinski Hotels, Sheraton and Pestana Hotels, Resorts and Casinos. At TUI AG, he was CEO of Robinson Clubs and Divisional Director of TUI Hotels & Resorts. In 2013, Pojer took over the management of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. He has been CEO Tourism of DSR Hotel Holding since 2022 and has already been working closely with the DER Touristik Hotel Division since then.
