Dominik Trimborn goes Shangri-La Paris
The German becomes the new Sales & Marketing Director
With Dominik Trimborn, a native of Regensburg, the Shangri-La Paris has gained a top-class new addition to its management team. The luxury hotel industry expert will be responsible for managing the Paris hotel's sales and marketing activities in future. He has now returned after holding numerous management positions in the USA and Asia. "I am delighted to have returned to Europe after more than ten years abroad and to be able to support this special palace hotel," says Dominik Trimborn.
He initially studied tourism management in Munich, followed by his first professional stations in Europe and Asia. After working for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in the International Sales division, where he took over the sales management for 22 hotels in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia in Bangkok, Trimborn was responsible for The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa and the St. Regis Bali Resort in Bali as Head of Sales and Marketing. The German and his team received the award for "Best Sales Team in Asia Pacific". The next challenge awaited him in Miami. There he was responsible for sales at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and the W Miami. His last stop before Trimborn returned to Europe took him to New York. There he was responsible for the successful realignment of the Ritz-Carlton in Central Park.
The Shangri-La Paris is also delighted about Trimborn's return to Europe. Hotel Director Julien Bardet is convinced that Trimborn and his wealth of experience in the luxury hotel industry will be a great asset to the Parisian luxury hotel, especially in view of the difficult times of recent months. Located in the 16th arrondissement, opposite the Eiffel Tower and high on the hill of Chaillot, the Shangri-La Paris is an icon of the Seine metropolis. The former palace of Prince Roland Bonaparte has 100 rooms and suites, two restaurants and a spa with a 17-meter-long pool. The interior bears the signature of internationally renowned interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon and star architect Richard Martinet.
