The countdown is on

12 weeks until ILTM Cannes

The countdown to the ILTM on the Côte D'Azur is on: Only 12 weeks to go until the international luxury travel industry meets again in Cannes for the first time since 2019. ILTM Cannes will take place this year from December 6 to 9, 2021.

ILTM Portfolio Director Alison Gilmore explains why Cannes is so special for ILTM: "I have just returned from a visit to Cannes to see another Reed exhibition at the Palais des Festivals. It was so nice to see the city bustling and the hotels buzzing, and it was a great feeling to be back in our French homeland. The memories of coffee at sunrise and cocktails at sunset will come flooding back, but most of all ILTM Cannes 2021 will be about coming together again - our global luxury travel industry needs a vibrant reunion."

Luxury travel brands, experiences, destinations and suppliers from all four corners of the globe will once again meet with international travel planners, curators and agencies, taking full advantage of the pre-planned one-off dates that will take shape from October. "We are again expecting international visitors from more than 95 countries, but for those who can't come, we will wait and see if the rules change, otherwise we will create a plan to connect buyers digitally with suppliers in attendance," Gilmore added. ILTM will once again kick off with an opening forum on Monday evening, December 6, and conclude with the famous after-show party on December 9 - more details to follow.

With the knowledge that ILTM is just 12 weeks away, the luxury travel industry is beginning to plan its return to the first live global event since 2019. Anthony Torkington, Directeur Générale at Relais & Châteaux, commented: "Everyone at Relais & Châteaux is very excited about ILTM in Cannes this year. It will be great to meet so many friends and colleagues again and look to the future together."

Yvan Vermeesch, Owner and Managing Director of XO Private, adds: "With almost 70 members confirmed in our XO Private Zone at ILTM Cannes 2021, we can't wait to travel to the Côte d'Azur and rock this upcoming edition. After all, there's no other show that offers a better springboard into the next season!"

Silvio Rebmann, CEO and founder of German Cube Travel GmbH, said: "ILTM Cannes has always been the most important date in my trade show calendar and was sorely missed in 2020. I am very much looking forward to meeting with our partners in person again in Cannes in 2021, having developed a real 'Zoom fatigue'."

And Mickey Cryef, CEO and owner of BTS Travel Group in Belgium, comments: "I'm really looking forward to returning to ILTM as the first proper 'live' event in our new era - our industry needs a proper boost after 18 months of such tough times. It's not just about building relationships with suppliers, but also about meeting lots of familiar faces and sharing experiences."
