André Kaiser
New Culinary Director at The Chedi Andermatt
As the new Culinary Director at The Chedi Andermatt , André Kaiser is responsible for five award-winning restaurants and bars, including The Japanese, which has been awarded two Michelin stars. Before that, the German-born chef worked in Ras Al Khaimah, Doha, Shanghai and Oman. He began his career 20 years ago with an apprenticeship at the Maritim Seehotel Holsteiner Hof in Timmendorfer Strand. His stations included the Kempinski Residences & Suites Doha in Qatar and "The One" by Kempinski in Shanghai and "The One" by Kempinski. During this time, he also received the "Hospitality Management" diploma from Cornell University New York.
Further positions followed at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in Oman, Fairmont Singapore & Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore and the Fairmont Doha. There, André Kaiser worked as Executive Chef on events such as the FIFA World Cup 2022, the Fairmont Global Leadership Summit 2023 and the Qatar Economic Forum 2023. At pop-up events together with renowned top chefs such as Yannick Alléno (3 Michelin stars) and Enrico Crippa (3 Michelin stars), he gained further experience and inspiration at star level.
