For the second urban Six Senses Hotel after Istanbul, the renowned Spanish designer and architect Patricia Urquiola skillfully combined historical elements of the baroque Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini with contemporary architecture. The impressive marble staircase and the extensive use of natural travertine stone create a luxurious atmosphere. Linen-like curtains that are actually made from recycled plastic, artfully applied "cocciopesto" plaster, elegant brass doors and solid oak furniture add subtle elegance.

Health and well-being are of course central themes at Six Senses. That is why the weekly program includes lectures by guest physiotherapists (for a fee) and free olive oil tastings. However, the true strength of the hotel is revealed in the spa area, which impresses with its bright and inviting atmosphere. The Roman bathing ritual, which includes hammam, steam bath, sauna and water pools at different temperatures (10 - 12° C, 29 - 31° C and 36 - 38° C), is particularly popular.
