Mandarin Oriental, Muscat: Luxurious oasis on the Arabian Sea
Free night at the Mandarin Oriental, Muscat
Mandarin Oriental, Muscat opened on June 3, 2024, marking the group's debut in Oman. The resort and residences offer fantastic views of the Arabian Sea and are located in the prestigious Shatti Al-Qurum neighborhood, ideally situated for exploring the culture and treasures of Muscat. The architecture of the hotel, designed by French designer Xavier Cartron , combines the rich culture of Oman with modern influences. Three fountains in the lobby symbolize the influences of the Middle East, Africa and Asia on the Omani heritage.
The 103 rooms and 47 suites reflect the natural beauty of Oman and use regional materials such as Desert Rose marble. Design elements such as bed backs inspired by the traditional "Kuma" hat and handmade brass lanterns reminiscent of the Omani "Khanjar" dagger emphasize the cultural heritage.
On the culinary front, the hotel offers five restaurants and a lounge under the direction of chef Raymond Rjaily. The restaurant Essenza takes guests on a journey through Italian cuisine with traditional recipes, while the Mandarin Cake Shop serves exclusive pastries under the direction of executive pastry chef Stephane Tranchet.
