Italian flair in the Bavarian capital - With the opening of the new Florio restaurant at The Charles Hotel Munich, the Rocco Forte Group delights guests with Mediterranean excellence. Florio follows in the footsteps of its celebrated sisters, the restaurants at Villa Igiea in Sicily and the Hotel de Russie in Rome, which can be traced back to the expertise of Fulvio Pierangelini, the Rocco Forte Group's Creative Director of Food.

At the heart of the Florio is Italian cuisine that impresses with its simplicity, top quality and hand-picked products. Here, seasonal regionality meets Italian culinary art - a philosophy that runs through every dish. With classics such as artichoke alla Romana and changing seasonal specialties, the essence of Italy is celebrated here in its purest form. The creations are simply prepared, but to the point and a feast for the senses. The ambience at Florio is just as well thought out as the menu. Moss-green linen wallpaper and silvery shimmering olive trees are reminiscent of the neighboring Old Botanical Garden, while benches in warm tones and tables made of fine walnut wood create a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. A place where time seems to stand still and the hustle and bustle of everyday life recedes into the distance. This is not just a great place to dine - in good company, with excellent Italian wine, you almost feel like you've landed in an Italian film classic from the 1950s.
