Sun Siyam Resorts
Luxury & love of nature
The youngest resort in the luxury group also has a lot to offer pampered connoisseurs: The beautiful Sun Siyam Pasikudah is a boutique resort on the east coast of Sri Lanka, reopening at the end of 2023, which has been impressively renovated and transformed into a tropical oasis. With just 34 suites, the five-star resort exudes a particularly personal atmosphere. In addition to cultural experiences and authentic cuisine, guests benefit from special offers such as whale and dolphin watching or barbecues around the campfire. Special care is taken to ensure that all activities take place in harmony with nature.
All Sun Siyam Resorts implement the long-standing Sun Siyam Cares sustainability program, which promotes conservation, community and sustainability initiatives. The innovative program ranges from reducing energy and water consumption to waste management, while supporting community development, preserving local heritage and investing in renewable energy. This contributes to both the protection of the environment and the well-being of the local population. A particularly successful example of Sun Siyam Cares is the so-called Farm Islands - islands cultivated by locals that act as suppliers of fruit, vegetables and spices for the restaurants on the resort islands. Over 1,500 trees planted each year and 150 coral planting projects also make a valuable contribution to preserving the beautiful nature above and below sea level. In addition, Sun Siyam Pasikudah recently launched the CarePhant project to support the welfare of a young elephant named Kalo at the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe, Sri Lanka. By the way: Thanks in no small part to the Sun Siyam Care programme, all five resorts in the Maldives have been awarded the Travelife Gold certificate by the independent global organization for the sustainability of accommodation.
