ROHO Teichlodges

A retreat for mind and soul

Holzbau Maier built the ' ROHO pond lodges ' for Ferner Rosenhof - an interplay of craftsmanship, aesthetics and a connection to nature.
Amidst the greenery , where the view glides over a tranquil swimming pond and the scent of old wood envelops the senses, a small architectural composition rises up - the ROHO pond lodges. Their shape is no coincidence: the octagon, a symbol of perfection since antiquity, forms the geometric and spiritual basis of the project. Like a stylized rose in nature, which in Christianity is a symbol of new creation and mindfulness, the architecture here stands for a return to the essential, the simple, the genuine.

From the initial idea to the design and submission planning to the execution of the timber construction and interior fittings, this project was completed by Holzbau Maier. The result: a harmonious interplay of traditional craftsmanship, timeless aesthetics and a deep connection to nature.

The exterior walls in timber frame construction meet white plaster surfaces and finely covered fabric panels on the inside. The folded wooden roof truss, inspired by the shape of a water lily, lends the interior a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Generous window areas open up the space to nature and allow light and landscape to become part of the interior. The larch wood terraces, the oak flooring laid in an octagonal shape and furniture made of natural lacquered oak speak of quality, durability and attention to detail. Whether it's the fabric-covered wall panel in the living area, the simple washbasin, the pleasant, earthy shades and nuances of light or the cupboards made from a combination of oak and fabric - every element follows the house's credo: Relaxed - just like in nature. Comfortable - like mom's. Mindful - like the game. Stoasteirisch - like the kernel oil.

The ROHO Teichlodges are more than guest suites, they are a retreat between architecture, mindfulness and nature - a silent homage to the beauty of simplicity.
