One&Only Reethi Rah
A paradise made to measure
Wake up in the morning with a view of the ocean and enjoy the sunset from your private veranda in the evening - that's the promise of the private hideaways at One&Only Reethi Rah. The 122 villas are discreetly arranged along the island's extensive bays. The beach villas have their own sandy beach, while the water villas are connected via jetties. If you want even more privacy, book the beautifully situated Grand Sunset Residence. It has the largest stretch of beach and is only accessible via a private road. With three bedrooms, it is exceptionally spacious and has a unique outdoor dining area where guests can enjoy meals prepared by the personal chef. Of course, they can also dine at one of the resort's many restaurants, where they can choose from a wide range of gourmet experiences - from Japanese teriyakis to a tantalizing mix of French, Asian and Italian cuisine and ultra-fresh farm-to-table dishes.
The wellness and activities on offer at One&Only Reethi Rah are just as varied as the culinary delights: You can indulge in tailor-made treatments at the award-winning One&Only Spa, relax with yoga, meditation or in the sauna area, use the well-equipped fitness center, admire the Maldivian marine life while snorkeling or diving or try out a wide variety of sports. Never been on a catamaran, wakeboard or seabob before? Then now would be the perfect opportunity. We particularly recommend the trendy boards for thrill-seekers and high-flyers: with transparent stand-up paddleboards, One&Only Reethi Rah offers sports enthusiasts a crystal-clear view of the underwater world and plenty of thrills - without the need for a dive. Want more speed? Then perhaps a ride on an eFoil surfboard is a good idea. As soon as this surfboard with a wing-shaped wing and electric motor picks up speed, the board lifts itself out of the water for an extra-cool surfing experience.
For those who feel more comfortable on land, don't miss out on a game of padel tennis: This mix of tennis and squash is currently capturing the hearts of athletes all over the world. The game is played in doubles and the aim is to get the ball over the net to the opponent's side - just like in tennis. However, the match takes place in a court surrounded by glass walls, which can be included in the game. The One&Only Reethi Rah opened a padel tennis court last year. "Padel is easy to learn, accessible to everyone and a lot of fun," says Jose Landeta, founder and head coach of Padel Escapes. "The fact that this sport has now reached the Maldives shows how fast padel is growing. Padel and paradise - it doesn't get any better than this."
