Nido, Mar-Bella Collection
Luxury retreat at the highest level
Whether you opt for a suite with an infinity pool, whirlpool or just a terrace is a matter of taste. A short walk downhill leads to the main pool halfway up the hill with daybeds and the Aquavit pool bar, where you can enjoy creative cocktails and uncomplicated lunches. We preferred the small private beach, although you have to take the "stone's throw" across the shore road to get there. Once there, however, you are rewarded with a very relaxed bathing experience and service staff who come rushing to your parasol at any time thanks to a bell button. If you don't just want to snuggle up in your bright, comfortable suite, you should definitely book a dinner in the al-fresco fine dining restaurant Arpeggio with local fish sashimi or a whole grilled sea bream for two. An evening with wines selected by the sommelier, including Greek wines, could hardly be more romantic. At Arpeggio, you will also meet hotel manager Amaryllis, who greets every guest like a member of the family and can answer almost any question. It's not for nothing that Nido is the Italian word for "nest". All couples who are looking for some "action" in between can also visit the à la carte restaurants and bars of the adjacent sister resort Mar-Bella as part of the half-board "Dine Around" program. Highly recommended for occasional "barflies" and foodies!
