La Fleur Boutique-Hotel

Luxury and lifestyle or country and people? For years, you had to make a choice in Montenegro, because between the renowned hotel chains on the one hand and the sometimes quite adventurous hideaways of some private providers on the other, there was a lack of individually managed boutique hostels with that certain "je ne sais quoi". La Fleur, which opened in 2022, is one of the notable exceptions. Just a pebble's throw from the sea and the marina of Porto Montenegro, the 15 rooms and suites of this small hotel stand for "boutique at its best" - and for so much French flair that only the orange trees outside the window remind you that you are in the south and not in Saint Germain.

T rès agréable: my deluxe room in elegant taupe tones with marble and brass accents, well-positioned design elements and (far too rare to find and therefore far too rarely praised) a touchpad for lights, curtains and air conditioning, the operation of which was possible even without a degree in IT. Très délicieux: the food on offer with an impressive breakfast selection and Montenegrin-inspired bistro cuisine during the day and in the evening. Très unique: the cozy roof terrace, which is used as an open-air restaurant and bar. Très oh, là, là: the small spa with indoor pool.

And if you miss the private beach due to the location not far from the water, but still in the center of Tivat, you will find it a ten-minute walk away at the family-friendly Belane Beach, where the hotelier and winemaker family Staniš owns two other hotels and plenty of sunbeds.

If God were on vacation in Montenegro for a change instead of France , he might like it at La Fleur ...
