The famous writer Mark Twain is said to have once said: "First Mauritius was created, then paradise. But paradise was only a copy of Mauritius". Indeed, the secluded island in the Indian Ocean feels like the Garden of Eden. Dreamlike, tropical volcanic landscapes, 170 km of golden sandy beaches and crystal-clear water make Mauritius a place of longing - and one that also delights golf lovers: the first and only modern links golf course in the Indian Ocean can be found in the midst of the magnificent vegetation. The latest jewel of the Heritage Resorts, La Réserve Golf Links, is located on the south coast of Bel Ombre in Mauritius and guarantees pure golfing pleasure against an incomparable backdrop. But the pristine fairways and greens of the 18-hole Le Château golf course, which was recently voted the best in the Indian Ocean, are also a highlight for golf lovers.

A day at the Heritage Resorts begins, as every day should: with the sound of the sea lapping against the shore, the scent of the sea breeze and the beguiling song of tropical birds. After a restful night in a beautiful suite at Heritage Le Telfair, you can have breakfast in the elegant brasserie restaurant Annabella's and enjoy the perfect service. For families or larger groups, the resort offers two other luxurious accommodation options: Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort, a five-star all-inclusive experience, and Heritage The Villas, a collection of luxurious private villas in the heart of the estate. After a hearty breakfast, it's time to make your way to the golf club. Before teeing off, you can warm up on the driving range or the 9-hole short course and visit the newly opened Golfzon Leadbetter Academy, the first and only training center of its kind in the Indian Ocean. But the perfect après-golf after the game is also taken care of: on the roof terrace of the clubhouse of Le Château Golf Course, a perfect blend of English country club and French brasserie, you can enjoy finely prepared dishes made from local ingredients, a luxurious atmosphere and warm hospitality.

Bel Ombre is a true paradise for discerning gourmets. Most of the ingredients served in the kitchens of the Heritage Resort come from the resort itself. There are 13 restaurants to choose from on the property, including light meals at Le Palmier, pan-Asian fusion cuisine at Gin'ja and the open-air restaurant Le Boma. For an unforgettable gastronomic experience, dine at Le Château de Bel Ombre.

In this historic colonial house from the 19th century, you can embark on a delightful journey through time, where the dishes tell the fascinating story of the region. In 2024, Le Château de Bel Ombre offers very special culinary experiences that promise unique moments. Every month, a total of 17 renowned Michelin-starred chefs will enchant visitors with their exquisite creations. Among them are masters of flavors and stars of the gourmet scene such as Björn Freitag, Frederic Van Tricht, Modest Amaro and Coline Faulquier.
