The Sahara, the largest desert on earth, covers nine million square kilometers . The Anantara Tozeur Resort sees itself as a luxurious gateway to life in this arid region with all its myths, stories and wonders. The deserts are best explored by camel. Popular offers include the 4x4 safari, 75-minute family treks or a visit to the medina of Tozeur. Chott el Djerid, the largest salt lake in the Sahara, is famous for its optical illusions. In winter, you can take a boat across this lake.

Also worth seeing are Berber villages dating back to the 14th century, such as Chebika and Mides. The Mides Canyons and the mountain oasis of Tamerza round off the numerous sights on offer. The spirit of the Sahara and the ancient Berber culture can also be felt everywhere at the Anantara Tozeur Resort. In the resort's own Arabian Nights Cultural Village, singers, poets, craftspeople and (belly) dancers share their culture with holidaymakers. The souk offers ceramics, jewelry, clothing and carpets and tempts visitors to buy souvenirs.

In between exploring the surrounding area , guests can refresh themselves in the resort's magnificent pools and in the Anantara Spa. In the latter, guests embark on relaxing wellness journeys and enjoy exceptional hammam bathing rituals. The Anantara Tozeur Resort has five restaurants (desert dining is also available) that guarantee culinary highlights. Floodlit tennis courts and a fitness club with yoga studio complete the offer, as does the Dunes Kids Club.
