"Cosy", translated from English means something like "comfortable" or "cozy". Qualities that only a few hotels in glamorous St. Tropez, which is more concerned with appearances than inner values, can boast. This is another reason why we are curious about the city's newest 5* hotel, which also boasts that it does not have its own restaurant. Breakfast can be ordered around the clock and dishes from a small but very fine menu (we'll just say caviar from the Petrossian house, the 250 g tin for 3,900 euros, but we won't forget the first-class sushi and salads) are served exclusively in your own room or by the pool.

For a less private experience, head to the city center, a ten-minute walk away, or to the cozy hotel bar. The eye-catcher here is a glass floor that offers a view of a wine cellar with around 30 types of champagne and more than 200 Bordeaux bouteilles. A Roederer Cristal 2006, the 3-liter Jéroboam bottle at 6,000 euros, can be found down there, as can a Paulliac Lafite-Rothschild, vintage 1990, for a cool 2,900 euros. The minibar in our Suite Supérieure is also impressively stocked with two bottles of Ruinart (Rosé and Blanc de Blanc). What we also like there is the elegant and relaxed interior - a mix of Scandinavian design classics and traditional Provencal elements. As an alternative to our hideaway with a view of the hotel's own vines, the rooms and suites right by the pool are a great option. They are less intimate, but almost as quiet, as the entire property is surrounded by a high stone wall in the middle of an exotic garden. The cozy L' Espace Zen is a very special kind of "cozy corner". On the one hand, it extends the offer of the small "Le Spa by Sothy" with outdoor massage options, and on the other, it has a yoga and meditation deck that can be moved hydraulically over an XL whirlpool.
