The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort
Beach vacation deluxe - and the Louvre around the corner
The majority of the facilities in the hotel area are similarly well thought-out and inviting, such as the "Café Ginori", the first of the Italian fine porcelain manufactory in the Middle East, just to the left of the magnificent lobby. It is obvious that it is also very popular with local women. The Athletic Club with indoor pool for lane swimming is also brilliant. The range and quality of the culinary delights on offer is stunning. The fact that a belly dancer performs during dinner in the new Mediterranean restaurant "Sophia" and dances from table to table as a finale is something you have to want. But the food on the plates is top notch - meze, sashimi, sea bass, a trilogy of good taste. In the "Buddha-Bar Beach", a DJ and a saxophonist entertain to ceviche, sliders and barramundi: a single, delicious crescendo. The breakfast buffet is overflowing, even in terms of time. Generous opulence from 7 am to 1 (!) pm. The tables outside with their sea view and palm trees add to the flavor. "Allergies?" Just a bird allergy. The feathered friends were annoying, but only on the first morning, and were constantly after the gourmet food.
Test highlight: Swimming in the sea and emerging a few minutes later in the Louvre - not a fairy tale from "1001 Nights", reality.
