Hideaway with private beach access

For travelers who appreciate a stylish hideaway where "less is so much more"
The old oil mill on the resort's own village square has been spruced up: whitewashed façade, reddish-brown roof tiles, a stone-paved terrace and a semi-open beach lounge and, directly in front of it, the beach and the sea. The pool and restaurant are right next door. The Olivar Suites don't have much more to offer - and that's a good thing.
When we visited in summer 2023 , the hideaway was only in its third season. We could still feel the new, but with an independence that is not on a par with other hotels on the island. 120 suites, all housed in one to two-storey buildings lined up like pearls on a necklace, with lots of natural stone and running along a path towards the sea, radiate tranquillity. Right by the sea, next to the village square, the Ionian suites, laid out like villas, are enthroned with their own pool, garden and a door that leads directly onto the narrow but beautiful sandy beach with a reserved daybed - that's what we call a truly convincing home-away-from-home feeling.
As already mentioned: There is little choice. All meals are served in the "Flya" restaurant by the pool; breakfast, stylish à-la-carte with a small, fine buffet. Lunch is also served there or in the beach lounge, which is also the best place for drinks. In the evening, the "Flya" transforms into a casual fine dining restaurant with wonderful metropolitan cuisine, subtle background music and top service. A look behind the scenes is also exciting. For example, there is a cooperation with Oxford University in the area of sustainability.
However, there is no water sports station or great entertainment . The Olivar Suites is all about relaxation without distractions, but with style. If you're still looking for Greek entertainment, you won't have far to go to the village in the evening. However, we guarantee that the last, well-kept glass of wine will be enjoyed in the heavenly ambience of the Olivar Suites.
