Perfect for ...
Those seeking peace and quiet, wellness fans who appreciate the holistic spa program, but also nature and culture fans
Sometimes the unexpected happens - like at Six Senses Uluwatu, where the initially unspectacular-looking reception pavilion suddenly turns out to be the gateway to a true cloud cuckoo land. Breathtaking: the view from the soft sofas at check-in over the extensive grounds and the 100-metre-high cliffs. Omnipresent: My "Guest Experience Maker" Seva, who guides me to my hideaway just a few formalities and a welcome drink later and is never more than a WhatsApp call away. Extremely comfortable and tasteful: my almost 200 m2 Cliff Pool Villa with four-poster bed, indoor/outdoor bathroom, first-class Balinese coffee tabs and a private pool from which I can watch a gang of cheerful monkeys playing tag on the surrounding rooftops. The fact that they feel at least as comfortable here as I do is probably also due to the fact that the Six Senses Uluwatu was the first island hotel to be awarded the World Green Council Certificate for its commitment to sustainability and nature conservation. Vision is not just a question of the view ...
While my animal friends swing effortlessly through the air to get from A to B, I prefer the buggy service. The paths at Six Senses are not only wide, but also extremely steep. Nevertheless, you shouldn't shy away from them, otherwise you would miss the three main pools, where free gelato is served in the afternoon. Or the cliff bar perched on the edge of the cliff and the main restaurant Rocka with no less than
21 juices for breakfast. And then there's the impressive spa, where you can make a monkey of yourself with aerial yoga in a kind of swinging hammock.
