Relais & Chateaux Gut Steinbach Hotel & Chalets
Elegant alpine retreat in a Bavarian picture-book setting
Count and Countess Moltke designed Gut Steinbach as a place of authentic hospitality from start to finish with sustainability in mind. This ranges from ecologically selected building materials and the highest standards in heat recovery to a sophisticated energy-saving concept and the species-appropriate keeping of deer, pigs, poultry, goats and rabbits. You can look out over the mountains from the crackling fireplace and watch the yaks grazing in the chalet's sauna. In the restaurant, the words that the staff came up with on the theme of home are written on lederhosen leather on the wall. Chef Achim Hack conjures up real delicacies for breakfast and dinner on stylishly laid tables using regional products, some of which come from the farm.
The hosts set an example - this is another reason why Gut Steinbach celebrates tradition and a sense of home in a very authentic, harmonious and atmospheric way and skillfully combines it with warm hospitality, modern comfort and elegant design. The spring lockdown was used to create a fitness trail with twelve stations in the hotel's own forest. A brand new spa area with a large outdoor area is planned for next year. Families with three generations are just as welcome here as couples looking forward to a romantic break. Home, tranquillity and ground are key words at Gut Steinbach. For guests, the following therefore applies: if you want to feel grounded so that your soul can take flight, this is the place to be!
