Quinta do Lago
Luxurious golf classic
Macarons and port wine are served at the reception. The 180-degree view of the lagoons of the Ria Formosa National Park and the Atlantic Ocean from our balcony is simply magnificent. It's just a shame that the planes are allowed to take off into the sunset over the nature reserve. The spacious rooms and suites with private balconies or terraces are classically elegant, and many of them have a fantastic view of the sea. In the marble bathroom with separate WC and double washbasin, even fresh flowers and candles are included.
The evening turndown service is also excellent - as is the service overall, which is characterized by warmth and individuality. Some of the staff have been here for more than two decades and know the guests by name, which is particularly appreciated by the many regular guests (60%). The kilometer-long sandy beach Quinta do Lago, which is lined with dunes and has its own section of beach and private beach club, can be reached on foot in ten minutes via a picturesque wooden bridge that spans the lagoon landscape. Sun umbrellas and sun loungers are available here (free of charge) and you are well supplied with towels, water and fresh fruit.
Golfers love not only the individual shuttle that is available to take them to the nearby courses, but also the service: such as a caddy room for golf equipment or the golf desk, where Monica reserves tee times, negotiates special rates for hotel guests or books coaching lessons. At sunset, the newly designed Laguna Bar with its terrace and stunning views of the Atlantic is the perfect place for a sundowner and to round off an eventful day of golf.
