The bright red parasols and daybeds, which are reflected in the blue of the pools or offer a view of the vast Atlantic Ocean, are certainly part of it! In the past, great seafarers set sail from the nearby town of Lagos to discover the world. Today, the design of the hotel reflects the influences of different continents. Asian, African, South American, Mediterranean: 86 individual rooms and suites with terrace or balcony are currently spread across four hotel wings (another will be added this year), whose extraordinary interiors pay homage to the history of the Algarve and the great explorers.
While the sumptuous breakfast on the terrace by the main pool is a pleasure, dinner in the Gastropub restaurant is not convincing either in terms of ambience or the quality of the food on offer. The newly styled Lighthouse Bar right next door is a great place for an aperitif. Unfortunately, the bar's proximity to the Gastropub, with which it shares the balcony terrace, as well as the view of the fully occupied restaurant, detract from the enjoyment.
A wonderfully relaxing - and highly recommended - treatment with warm towels and hot stones on the wonderfully wide treatment beds in the newly designed spa. The extensive hotel complex also includes its own golf academy and a fitness center equipped with the latest Technogym equipment, which is located across the street. Whether boot camp classes, yoga, Pilates or cross training: fitness fans will get their money's worth here! The resort also offers one of the most popular soccer training centers in Europe. The world's best professional teams regularly train there.
Tip: For families with children, the fully equipped apartments with one or two bedrooms, kitchen and washing machine are just as popular and sought-after as the three luxury villas, all of which have their own pools.
