Palazzo Ripetta
A boutique hotel that will whet your appetite!
The love of detail, individuality and high-quality furnishings is unmistakable. The art deco accents and the stylishly combined, contemporary interior make coming home after a busy day in the city particularly pleasant. You don't even need to have booked into one of the three wellness suites. For those who are still interested: the most special is number 306: 50 m2 in size, spread over two floors and equipped with a sauna and chaise lounges on the upper floor.
From the rooftop you can look out over a typical Roman residential area as far as the Villa Medici. Indoors, it is hard to imagine a more harmonious location than the "Salone Bernini" with its ceiling fresco: it is a restored chapel - the hotel had a previous life as a nunnery and refuge for orphan girls. However, monastery soup is not served in the hotel palazzo.
A chef from Abruzzo, Marco Ciccotelli, stirs things up in the "San Baylon" restaurant: The "chitarra" pasta with roasted tomatoes and prawns, typical of his homeland, was followed by a fabulous sea bass with stuffed zucchini flowers, potato millefeuille and wild herb salad. And the tartelette with strawberries, fennel and vanilla cream as a sweet finale would probably not knock anyone with an intact sense of taste off the edge of the table. Buonissimo!
